Large Party Bookings


Here at the White Horse Inn, we are very pleased to be able to accommodate celebrations and parties for up to 20 people (20 is the maximum).

Due to our (very) small kitchen we now request a pre order for tables of 12 and over as we want to ensure that you receive the highest quality of food and service possible. If you know us, you know we have high standards and we are keen to maintain these at all times!

Tables of 10 or 11 people

We do not require a pre-order but you will need to ring and book for tables of this size, as our online booking system can only take bookings for up to 9 people.

The tables will be yours for two hours from the time of the booking and, if you want to stay longer, we usually have seating areas available in the bar. We will only ever ask you to move after 2 hours if the tables are rebooked as we like our customers to feel relaxed!

Tables of 12 to 20 people

In order to assist you with your booking, we ask that you ring on 01274 834268 and speak to a member of the management team – either Daniel, Chris or Hayden. They will provide you with the information you need to get your pre-order in, along with timescales for providing this. They will also make you aware of any dishes that will be available from the Specials board to complement our normal menu.

The tables will be yours for 3 hours from the booking time giving you plenty of time to socialise and chat after your meal. If you want to stay longer or arrive earlier, we usually have seating areas available in the bar and we will only ever ask you to move if the tables are booked out afterwards.

The team will take any details from you of diners with particular dietary requirements and will be able to talk you through options for vegetarians and vegans.

We do ask for a deposit of £5 per person for tables over 10 which you can either pay over the phone using a card or feel free to call in with the deposit. This deposit is fully refundable against your bill on the night although we will deduct £5 per person if your party has decreased in size and you haven’t made us aware 48 hours beforehand.

We will hold your booking for 2 days to give you chance to get your deposit in. Once we have received your deposit, this will secure your booking.

We do not apply a service charge for large parties.

Decorating / cakes

We know lots of people will be celebrating a special occasion and we are very pleased that you are choosing our pub to do so! If you have balloons / banners / cakes then feel free to drop these off earlier in the day and we will ensure that your table is decorated in time for your booking. Our team will be happy to light your candles and carry your cake through to you when you give us the nod.

We respectfully request that you do not bring table confetti because it is so difficult to clean up and we also ask that you do not use sparkler type candles as they can set off the smoke alarms and we have to evacuate. That’s no fun for anyone if it’s raining!
